Hailing from the City of Kings – Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Teddy Masuku’s passion for the performing arts blossomed early in his life. Engaging in school productions and community gatherings, he found himself drawn to music and dance, integral components of Zimbabwean culture, which further fueled his dedication to the arts.
In 1997, Teddy transitioned to a full-time dance career, showcasing his talents as a performer, drummer, singer, and choreographer. His repertoire encompassed a blend of traditional and contemporary dance forms intertwined with poetry. This period saw him embark on extensive tours, both locally and internationally, immersing himself in Southern African cultural dances and modern rhythms.

Presently, Teddy Masuku serves as the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Izimba Arts and Thendele Prints, a company merging performing arts and design. Additionally, he contributes his rich, velvety bass tones to Black Umfolosi International, enhancing their vocal performances.
